Family Goes The Distance For Personalized Care

To The Administration and Staff at The Bridge in Monteagle,

I would like to take the time and opportunity to personally say “thank you” to the staff at The Bridge in Monteagle Tennessee. I have verbalized it on occasions but I want to attempt to pen my thoughts and feelings about the Bridge.

When I first learned that my brother, Jerry Banks, was being transported from a local nursing home facility to The Bridge, I was distraught and emotionally upset. I had already called a minister in to speak with Jerry because the doctor had informed me that he had three to seven days to live. And now he is being transported to another facility which I knew nothing about not to mention that it would be a sixty mile round trip for me.

A Friend Goes The Distance For Personalized Care

To Nursing Home Administrator:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my feelings about the excellent services that my good friend and ward have received through the Bridge at Monteagle. I will enumerate more specifics later in this letter.

His name is Cyrus Jerome Brown whom I have known for more than 30 years. I first met him when I had an opportunity to attend a church service where he was the director of music here in Nashville. I was so impressed with his musical skills I stayed after the services to meet him. Needless to say, he was talented and could read and improvise at the keyboard almost anything you ask him to play. He has played for churches here in middle Tennessee for over 50 years.

Family Go The Distance For Personalized Care

My name is Olivia Yarbrough, wife of Bobby Yarbrough who was diagnosed in 2002. On June 2007 another decision had to be made. I had thought that Bobby being in assisted living, things were settled for a while. He just could not adjust so they said he could no longer be able stay there. This began our path to The Bridge at Monteagle. I was more unsettled about the decision to have him placed  so far from me. From the first day he was never asking me to go home. I was making the trip three times a week. The 123 miles round trip seemed longer and longer. I was like a lot of the other care givers no one could take care of him like me. As the months rolled into years which is seven years now, I feel that this was a good decision for Bobby. The staff have been so kind, caring and efficient. They have kept me up to date on any changes that might occur. I feel they take care of me as well as Bobby. I truly believe that if it was not for the good care Bobby has received here he might not have thrived for the past seven years. For this I am grateful to each and everyone at The Bridge for trying to make our lives better

Family Go The Distance For Personalized Care

The Bridge,

Thank you for the care you provide my sister. It has been a true blessing from God to be able to find a place like the Bridge to take care of the Seniors that can’t take care of themselves. My last visit I could tell such a great change in her for the good. At first I was worried about placing her at such a great distance but since she has been there I have been at peace with the decision I have made. I have even told my kids if I ever need to be placed some where to be cared for take me to the Bridge. I can see the great care and concern you show for those there. Thank you again and I will continue to pray for the facility and for those that live and work there.
