The Bridge at Monteagle Welcomes a New Director of Spirituality

It is my pleasure to serve the Bridge at Monteagle as the Director of Spirituality (chaplain). I make my home in Murfreesboro with my wife of 14 years and three children. We attend the New Vision Baptist Church there for community and ministry. I am a 2006 graduate of Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia with a master of Divinity Degree. For my undergraduate studies I attended Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee where I majored in history and minored in religion.

I came to the bridge with 12 years of full time vocational ministry experience serving local churches in Tennessee and Arkansas ranging from student pastor, family pastor, and teaching pastor. In 2011 I received my commission into the United States Army as a chaplain (1LT) in the National Guard part-time as the squadron chaplain for the 278 Armored Calvary Regiment’s Support Squadron headquartered in Columbia, Tennessee. Prior to joining the team at the Bridge at Monteagle I worked as a hospice chaplain. I am duly ordained through the Southern Baptist Church and the non-denominational Evangelical Church Alliance.

I wanted to join the Bridge at Monteagle and Signature Healthcare out of their commitment to spirituality as a means of serving not only each resident’s heart and soul, but adding to their overall quality of life. Each day I seek to work closely with our clinical, therapy, and social  team to provide total care for each and every resident at the Bridge and their families. My role each day moves between one-on-one spiritual support for resident’s daily chapel, empowering various religious groups that volunteer here, and care for the family members who entrust us with their loved ones.

My goal every day is to support each resident’s spiritual needs connecting them to their faith traditions that provide them strength, peace, and hope. If I can serve your family in any way do not hesitate to contact me at chaplain.monteagle@signaturehealthcarellc.com. Until then I pray nothing but God’s best for all connected to the Bridge at Monteagle.
